To no surprise, the Chiefs opened as the preseason favorites to win Super Bowl 58 with 600 odds making it five years running that they open the regular season at or under 1000 odds.

It is also the second time that they’ve been given 600 preseason SB odds with the last time coming in 2019 when they went on to win the Super Bowl.

Following the Chiefs, DraftKings has the Buffalo Bills ( 700), San Francisco 49ers ( 800), and Philadelphia Eagles ( 900) as the only other teams with Super Bowl 58 odds listed under 1000.

Early SB58 Odds
AFC Chiefs (330)
  Bills (400)
NFC 49ers (350)
  Eagles (400)

On the conference championship side of things, the Chiefs ( 330) also opened as the favorites to win the conference with the Buffalo Bills ( 400) and Cincinnati Bengals ( 550) tailing them. They are also the only three teams in the AFC with odds under 1000.

In the NFC, there are only three teams with odds under 1000 as well with the 49ers ( 350) leading the way and are followed by the reigning NFC Champions, Philadelphia Eagles ( 400), and the Dallas Cowboys ( 600).

Aside from the Chiefs having a strong enough argument to repeat as Super Bowl Champions, there aren’t many arguments to make for the three other teams that come behind them on the Super Bowl 58 odds board.

The Bills are dealing with internal issues surrounding Stefon Diggs’ status with the team and whether or not he’ll remain with the team with concerns on their playoff performance.

The 49ers could make the strongest case other than the Chiefs being that they were riddled with injuries most of the year and were able to make it to the NFC Championship game with Brock Purdy under center. Their third-string QB.

The Eagles also have a strong argument to themselves if they return all of their key pieces and remain as scorching hot as they were throughout the entire regular season and playoffs. The only hurdle that they’ll face is the dreadful trend of Super Bowl runner-ups from the year before only making it back and winning the Super Bowl two times in NFL history.

With all that said, the Chiefs could look to win their third Super Bowl in five years and become the ninth team to win two consecutive Super Bowls.
