The College Football Schedule this week is not as loaded as last weekend, but still offers us a few good match-ups. Starting Tonight.
#10 Utah at #19 Oregon State
Utah is coming off a war with UCLA where their defense played out of their minds. Oregon State suffered its fist loss of the season when it battled the remaining PAC-12 foe in Washington State. This game will determine a lot of Oregon State’s season.
If they can beat Utah, they keep the dream alive. If Utah can get average offense this season, hopefully with the return of Cam Rising, they are a playoff contender. If Rising plays, give me Utah 4.5.
Saturday, Oct. 7
Saturday morning in Boulder.
#8 USC at Colorado
The Buffalos are coming off a beating at the hands of Oregon last week that has taken a bit of the luster off of this game in regard to national importance. USC played a pedestrian game against Arizona State as well, as their defense is not nearly as improved as they had hoped.
Caleb Williams is still Caleb Williams though, and they look to continue to outscore their opponents. This game is going to be a shootout as both defenses may refuse to make a single tackle. Over 73.5.
#24 Kansas at #3 Texas
Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk, K-U. The Jayhawks of Kansas are undefeated through 4 games for the second season in a row when for decades it seemed they would never get off the mat. This may be when it all comes crashing down though. Jalon Daniels for Kansas is electrifying, but they may not have the horses to run and block the Longhorns.
Texas has the QB play now, as well as interior defensive linemen who are going to play on Sundays. That is going to make them a tough out for anyone in the BIG 12. I still like the Jayhawks 17 though.
#13 LSU at #20 Ole Miss
The Tigers of LSU head to Oxford, Mississippi in what is a brutal back-to-back for the Rebels. They are coming off an ass-kicking by Alabama, where they were physically dominated. Their reward is hosting a big and fast LSU team led by the best Quarterback in the SEC. Jayden Daniels has been superb since a slow start against Florida State. If Ole Miss is going to have the season that they wanted, they need to win this game. Ole Miss 2.5.
Since spooky szn starts tomorrow 👻 😅
